Enjoy your holidays in one of the most original valleys of the South Tyrol. Between the Alps in the north and the Dolomites in the south the area of Gsies is situated in a sunny and quiet surrounding: original and purely natural.

In summer you can experience our widely known event at the mountain huts where regional specialities are offered. Since there are lots of mountain huts in our area! About 15 of them are serviced, most of them can be reached in about one to two hours walking.

If you are a real hiker, you can cross the ridges to the Antholzer valley or even to the Villgraten valley which is in Austria. Also mountainbikers can find all kinds of tours from very easy to highly demanding.

In winter you can go tobogganing or hiking up to the serviced mountain huts.

Furthermore, there is a 45 km cross country slope (skating and classic style) which is about one kilometer away. The famous Gsieser competition takes place there.

If you want to get higher you may climb up to the Gsieser summits by the means of cross country skies. Also walking with snow boots is very common in our area.

Alpine skiers can go to the skiing areas of Kronplatz, 2275 m (13 km), Helm, 2400m (25 km) and Haunold, 2000 m (22 km).
